A leaked password is where many scams start

- Scammers use it to fool you They quote your real details, so the call or email sounds legit.
- One reused password opens more If you use it elsewhere, your email or bank can be next.

The breach monitoring process
From a company getting hacked to an alert in your inbox, in four steps.
-
01A company gets breached A site or app you used is hacked, and user data like emails and passwords is stolen.
-
02The data gets out Stolen data is often leaked or traded online, and ends up in known breach collections.
-
03BellCrier checks We regularly check those collections for the email addresses you monitor.
-
04You get an alert If your email turns up, we email you what was exposed and how to fix it.
We don't hack, we monitor. BellCrier never breaks into websites, systems or accounts. We only check breach data that has already been exposed, and we never show or store full passwords.
Frequently asked questions
Short answers about how BellCrier works, your privacy and your plan. Still stuck? Ask us
How it works
What does BellCrier do?
We watch your email addresses for data breaches. When one of them shows up in a leak, we email you which website was breached, what was exposed (shown masked, like pa******) and a link to change that password.
Does BellCrier hack anything?
No. We never break into websites, systems or accounts. We only check breach data that has already been exposed by the companies that were breached, and tell you when your email is in it.
Where does the breach data come from?
We check several breach-data providers, including Have I Been Pwned, and combine their results so you see each breach once. We never sell your data.
How often do you check?
Right away when you add an email, then again on a regular schedule, so new breaches are picked up once they appear in our sources.
How will I be alerted?
By email. To avoid flooding your inbox, several new breaches found at once arrive as one summary email.
I got an alert. What should I do?
Change the password on the breached site (we link to it), change it anywhere else you used the same one, and turn on two-factor authentication. Then click "Mark as solved" in your dashboard.
What happens when I mark a breach as solved?
We delete the masked details of that breach from our system and stop reminding you about it.
Is the free check on the homepage the same thing?
It is a quick preview: it shows how many breaches we found and a few site names. The full list, masked details, fix links and ongoing alerts come with a subscription.
Privacy, plans & billing
Is my data safe with you?
We keep only what the service needs: the email addresses you monitor and masked breach details. We never show or store full passwords, and we never sell your data.
Do you store my passwords?
No. We only keep masked details (for example the first few characters of a leaked password) so you can recognise which password it was. We never show or store full passwords.
Can I monitor someone else's email?
Only with their permission, for example a family member. Every address you add must be verified through a link we send to it, so its owner has to agree before any results are shown.
How many emails can I monitor?
Choose how many when you subscribe, from 1 up to 15 email addresses on one plan - handy for the whole family.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. If you cancel before it ends, you are not charged.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Every new subscription has a 14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Just send us a message through the contact page.
How do I cancel?
Any time, from the Account tab in your dashboard. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Can I close my account?
Yes. Once your subscription has ended, use "Close your account" in the Account tab. This permanently deletes your account and data. Still subscribed? Cancel first, then close it when your paid period is over.
Who handles payments?
Payments are processed securely by our reseller, Freemius. We never see or store your card details.
Don't wait for the breach you'll find out about too late.
The data is already out there. The only question is whether you see it before the scammers do. Monitor one email or your whole family, free for 7 days, and cancel anytime in one click.
