What is browser fingerprinting?

Sites combine small details like screen size, fonts, graphics card and time zone into an ID that recognises your device, even with cookies cleared.

How to stand out less

  • Use Brave, Firefox with resist-fingerprinting, or Tor.
  • Keep browser extensions to a minimum.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control.
  • Disable WebGL and WebRTC when you don't need them.
